Smartie surprise cake

This is a fun cake that will reach that sweet tooth AND add some extra excitement 🥳

𝘐𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴:

- 1 Box cake mix + ingredients to make cake

- Icing (either premade, or your favourite buttercream)

- Filling: Smarties, white/milk chocolate chips, sprinkles, marshmallows, etc)

𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴:

1. Bake cake according to package instructions on 2 round 9” pans.

2. Allow to cool and then use a round drinking glass to cut a hole in the centre of both cakes. (Reserve one circle).

3. Layer cakes, one on top of the other, with buttercream icing in between cake layers, leaning the inside open.

4. Fill centre circle with Smarties, chocolate chips, sprinkles, and even marshmallows.

5. Cut reserved circle in half, width-wise, and place on top of filled centre, so it’s flush with the rest of the cake.

6. Ice and decorate the rest of the cake, including the top and sides.
